Angela Ziltener
Marine Biologist
Brief info
Angela is a biologist and marine conservation specialist studying dolphins for more than ten years. The “Dolphin Watch Alliance” protects dolphins and their environment worldwide. This includes collaborations with other environmental NGOs and local authorities to underpin protection measurements. To raise awareness of the public worldwide and to ensure sustainable and responsible marine wildlife tourism, they work together with travel agencies, responsible dolphin tour operators and big film producers such as the BBC Natural History Unit, Silverback Films and Disneynature.
In 2004, Angela had the opportunity to travel to Egypt, where she observed and dived with wild dolphins. She immediately understood how important it is to study and protect these animals. In 2021, she was awarded by the Yves Rocher Foundation with the first place, the "Trophée de femmes" environmental award for her long-term work in Egypt to protect the dolphins and to raise awareness about marine life.
